Redmond

Located on the northern shores of Lake Sammamish and the Sammamish River Trail, Redmond is a Northwest fusion of big business and the beautiful outdoors. Like other eastside communities, Redmond is within minutes of the Cascade foothills and yet 20 minutes to the cultural amenities of downtown Seattle. Redmond is the home to some of the world’s largest tech companies, including Microsoft and Nintendo of America. AT&T, Physio-Control and Eddie Bauer also make their company headquarters here.

Salmon-spawning streams and evergreen-lined trails in Redmond provide an ideal setting for outdoor recreation. In a city of 31 developed parks, Marymoor Park, the city’s largest, includes soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, summer concerts, a large off-leash dog area and one of the nation’s few velodromes. The park also serves as the southern trailhead for the Sammamish River Trail – a 27-mile path that stretches past a number of local wineries and breweries to Seattle’s fabulous shoreline on Puget Sound.

In 2004, Redmond North Little League won the Northwest region and participated in the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, PA. Redmond celebrated its centennial birthday in December 2012! For more information on Redmond go to: http://www.redmond.gov/
